I want your cameras!!

OK, niece families. What cameras are you all using? I love the pictures. They are so clear and bright and beautiful. I have a Canon PowerShot SD450 (digital) with zoom capability and all my pictures are turning out too big and too grainy when I try to upload them to my precious header images!! What’s up with that???! I want what you guys have (like I said to Barney in an email this morning, said with a pouty voice!!!)!

Or someone give me some training and tell me how to adjust the settings on my Canon. I also haveĀ a regular Canon 35mm… What am I doing wrong? I want the great closeups with the clear edges and bright colors. OK. I feel better. Someone share please…

Signed,
Frustrated :(

Hi Fefe! Heather and I both have “Costco Specials” - ie. available at Costco. I have the Cannon Digital Rebel XTi and Heather just purchased the Nikon equivalent (I don’t know the exact model). The only drawback to the full-size SLR digital cameras is their large size and weight (and price - around $700-$1000). There is something to say for the compact size and convenience of an “insta-matic” point and shoot camera. However, since you are already familiar with the Cannon SLR setup, you could get the digital version at Costco and still be able to use any lenses you currently own with the new camera. Good luck!

Yes, Chloe got it right, I got the Nikon D40X kit that they have at Costco that comes with an extra zoom lense and carrying bag. I’m really enjoying it! And this is the smallest one I’ve found. Very lightweight for an SLR digital. It’s the smallest body Nikon has made so far. But those pics you just posted of the views on your drive home are beautiful, so your camera isn’t treating you too badly! ;)
